Zlati panj (Golden Beehive) Acacia Honey
The Zlati panj (Golden Beehive) raw acacia honey from Medex is honey of Slovenian origin that has been certified with the Red Swallow national quality mark - a symbol of higher quality.
Higher quality in honey is ensured and maintained through additional manufacturing control and control of the product on the shelves that are exercised by an independent certification body approved by the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.
The Zlati panj honey is Slovenian honey of superior quality, which is distinguished by its extremely low HMF (rate of overheating) and low water content, and has acquired the Red Swallow national quality mark – a symbol of higher quality. According to the Directive and Regulation relating to honey, honey may contain up to 20 % water and 40 mg HMF per 1 kg honey. The Zlati panj acacia honey contains less than 18 % water and less than 15 mg HMF per 1 kg honey; these conditions are guaranteed for the entire shelf life of honey.
Acacia honey is produced from the first honey bee pasture. It is picked from aromatic white accacia blossoms in early May. The honey colour differs from almost transparent through light yellow to light amber, and its taste allures with a gentle vanilla-like flavour. Due to its sweetness and light taste it is also named the “ladies” honey, and is beloved among children as well. Acacia honey works to soothe and reduce fatigue.
You can eat the Zlati panj acacia honey with a spoon (make sure it is not a metal one) on its own, or use it as a bread spread or as a sweetener instead of white sugar. It is a perfect sweetener for coffee, tea, flakes, yogurt, ice cream and fruit salads. When sweetening hot beverages, be careful not to put honey in liquid that is very hot, since its most important substances lose their healing properties at high temperatures.
Natural honey slowly crystallises, but heating it up to 40 °C liquifies it again and keeps all its natural properties and substances.
Store in a dark, dry place with temperature below 25 °C.
Raw acacia honey of Slovenian origin.
Honey is a natural sweet gift, given to us by bees that make it from flower nectar (floral honey) or from insect secretions that remain on trees as sticky liquid (honeydew honey). Floral honey types are wildflower honey, acacia honey, chestnut honey, lime honey, and canola honey; honeydew honey types are forest honey, fir honey, maple honey, oak honey, and spruce honey. Bees process nectar or honeydew, enrich it with their gland secretions, and store it in the beehive to ripen. Honey is the source of solar energy and life fuel in the beehive. It contains valuable nutrients, and is a rich nourishment and cosmetic substance.
