Chia seeds are a plant nutrient of neutral taste; therefore, you can add them into dishes without changing their taste. Eating them with yoghurt in the morning will lift you up for the whole day.
Chia (Salvia hispanica L.) is a species of flowering plant in the mint family, native to Mexico and Guatemala. It was known to be used by Maya and Aztec. In Slovenia and elsewhere around the world, chia has recently become a real discovery among so-called super nutrients. Chia is harvested especially for its seed that are a rich source of omega-3 fatty acids; but it also contains proteins and dietary fibers, as well as a significant amount of minerals: calcium, iron, and potassium.
Chia is recommended for everybody who wants to take in plant proteins from plants grown in controlled organic environments. Recommended for women, men, seniors, students and sportsmen.
Recommended daily allowance is up to 15 g (1 tablespoon). Mix seeds with yogurt and let stand a couple of minutes to swell. You may also let them swell in water and later eat them with flakes, fruit or raw. Chia seeds can be also used for baking.
Bio chia is not a supplement to balanced diet and daily exercise.
Store in a dark, dry place with temperature under 25 °C.
