Bee pollen is the pollen gathered from plants by honey bees, who moisten it and bring back to their hive. Bee pollen is a source of protein, vitamins and minerals and as such a completely nourishing food for the bee colony.

Each bee pollen grain has an outer membrane, which is highly resistant to most acidic solutions, pressure, and even digestive enzymes, and the resulting low bioavailability limits its nutritional and clinical applications. Mechanical treatment (such as grinding or biting) increases bioavailability of bee pollen, but the use of special natural extracting methods, resulting in an bee pollen extract without the outer membrane, is even more efficient.
The bee pollen extract, contained in the B complex capsules, is standardized to 10 % of protein.
