The packaging for products based on bee products (apitherapy) is made in a uniform design. Standardisation of biologically active substances in the products (bioflavonoids in propolis and 10 HDA in royal jelly) occurs. Standardisation of these substances guarantees a constant content of key ingredients through the entire shelf life of the products, and consequently also guarantees their proven quality.

|1972||The advanced production facilities at Linhartova cesta road in Ljubljana are opened. Medex is the lead innovator in the field of bee product processing and production.
The most important novelties are the honey extracting facility and a device for the production of blended bee products (Melbrosia at that time).
The TV commercial for Melbrosia is the first TV commercial for Medex created by the famous Slovenian illustrator Miki Muster.
|1970||Medex becomes the largest honey and bee product retailer in Yugoslavia. There are 15 sales representatives employed to travel across Yugoslavia.
Medex starts cooperating with physicians, and the products are used for healing purposes.

It is there where the first Apicenter is established – a laboratory for the development of Medex products based on bee products.
|1963||A laboratory is established and the foundation for apitherapy product development (products based on bee products) was formed. It is the first laboratory of its kind in Slovenia, Yugoslavia, and even Europe.
The company starts with the processing of bee products (beside honey and beeswax, they started using royal jelly, propolis, pollen, and honey bee venom). Since bee products, except honey, do not depend on weather conditions and a rich harvest, the company starts a full-time production. Moreover, these products are always in stock, because they are essential for the survival of bee colonies.
The company is licenced to produce the Melbrosia trademark product (with the licence owner situated in Vienna). Melbrosia is the first blend of honey, pollen, royal jelly and propolis, and is blended in a simple mixer.
|1961||Aleš Mižigoj is named the general manager of the company and held this position for 40 years. He saved the company from bankruptcy.|

|1954||The Chief Cooperative Association of Slovenia (Glavna Zadružna zveza Slovenije) establishes the company Trgovsko podjetje Medex Export-Import, which specialises in the export of honey and for supplying beekeepers with beekeeping tools and accessories.
Warehouse and production are located at Gosposvetska ulica street (in Kolizej), and headquarters were at Cigaletova ulica street, both in Ljubljana.
The father of the company and its first manager is Miran Goslar, who led the company for five years.
